Two First Nations men have died in custody at Canberra's Alexander Maconochie Centre within days of each other.
A 38-year-old man was suffering a medical episode about 2.40am yesterday and, despite efforts by prison staff and paramedics, he was declared dead.
"We acknowledge the grief of the deceased's loved ones and extend our sincere condolences to them," an ACT Corrective Services spokesperson said.
