The ACT government has made public the report of the inquiry into the prosecution of Bruce Lehrmann, days after some of its contents were published by the media. The inquiry examined the conduct of criminal justice agencies and was led by former Queensland judge Walter Sofronoff.
Mr Sofronoff handed his findings to the ACT government a week ago, which originally planned to release the report to the public about a month after receiving it.
Late last week, the government bowed to political and public pressure, agreeing to officially release the report earlier than planned after copies of the report were handed to select media outlets.
